Pajero Io Pressure Pump

Hi Friends,

I too have encountered the GDI unit problem of my Pajero IO (1998 Model) when I took for a scan to Unit#d Mot#rs they said the presurre in not sufficient and thats the rason for this(It was fluctuating betn 4.5 and 4.1). Can somebody helpme in finding a place to replace the fuel pressure pump please

They said it has a double pump and the modelnumber is MD 366425 (Is this correct)

Hey do this, I know unimo will probably not recommend it but get it done from somewhere else. Get the pump removed. And get someone with a know-how to remove all the fittings and blast the whole thing with carb cleaner. Basically you will be removing anything that can be remove on the pump and you will be left with a aluminum block. Once all the ports are sprayed down and the thing is completely cleaned, get it installed, start the car up and check for any problems, usually the light should pop up r you would feel like there is a miss, if not you are good. Failing that you can try to "slightly" increase the fuel pressure. There is an adjuster on the pump, it's the little torx screw. Just slightly increase it. If this doesn't work then get a new pump.
