Rev Licence For Vehicles On Open Papers

Hi,someone I know has a car bought recently on open papers the last owner is from Ja-ela hence does the new owner go to Ja-ela to renew the revenue licence or can they get it done online or in Colombo 10 secretariat?

well since its still under the prevoius owners details you need to go for j ela to get it done. others pls give if there is ant new updates on this..

Or else you could visit to Maligawatte divisional secretariat, and get it done.

since it's within western province, can be obtained through the Colombo-10, Maligawatta office of RMV.

Think they charge 10% for delays. For a delay of one day, I doubt it. But you never know.

its appalling how not a single line in that link is grammatically correct.

I don't want no white knights coming and telling me, this is sri lanka our first language is not English so its natural and okay to make mistakes. When you're portraying yourself to the public you have to maintain some standards right? Jeez, even the mission and vision are messed up!

Might be old news but apparently you can get the revenue license online now, though only for the western province. They send it to you via post & they said it takes about 2 weeks.
