it is very difficult to anyone to predict the exact duty and other charges on any vehicle until it is cleared from the port.

Some times there can be delays when the vehicle arrives on to the port, not having correct documents.

If you have a good family friend importer who will disclose the cost of a Vehicle duty and other charges. Then it is best to request from him.

No importer will give you the correct cost of duty and the other. Including under invoiced charges on used Vehicle because then buyers can come to know the margin they have.

If you have any documents of the vehicle, with all details. You can go to customs they will help you.

The most corrupt Government department is customs in Srilanka, Without Palm oil nothing comes out from customs to the importer and at last end user has to pay for all that.
