Why on earth did you buckle the seat belt when there is no pessenger? There is a pressure switch inside the seat to detect if a passenger is actually in the seat. So if no passenger was there the seatbelt warning light or the audible alarm wont come on. Maybe your speaker is faulty or a fuse might have blown.

This happened because my wife with one month old baby she is not comfortable to buckle the seat belt and she used to buckle it getting the belt round the seat. but forgotten to unbuckle it and next time started the cat without a front passenger and belt was still buckled.

My car other alarms are working properly ( door alarm, head light on warning etc.) . Is this seat belt has seperate speaker? if the fuse might have blown, can I change IT or I have to service station. I am in Kandy

Im not so sure about this but I think door alarm and head light warning comes from a deferent buzzer connected to the rear of the meter cluster. In the internet there is some information about how to enable and disable the seatbelt buzzer by resetting the trip meter. Dont know if this will work but you can try it out and let us know.

Turn power on and set counter to "ODO"

Turn power off

Turn power on, within 5 seconds, press and hold the trip-reset button

After 10 seconds, fasten the seatbelt

Release the trip-reset button

.. the display should now change to "B-off", turn power off and release the seatbelt.

The alarm is now disabled. To enable it again, same sequence but push the trip button once again with the seatbelt fastened. The display shows B-on.

Dude thats VERY dangerous, and can easily cause death to your baby at in accident. When the car meets with an accident and your body gets thrown forward, the natural (even unintentional) reaction is to put your hands forward to break your fall. That means your wife will let go of the baby. If you dont have an airbag your baby will go hit the dashboard at a fatal speed. If you do have a airbag your baby will get crushed between your wife and the airbag.

Ask your wife to ride in the back, and NEVER carry a infant in the front seat.

Absolutely! In fact, it's dangerous not to. Research has repeatedly shown that the best way to protect your growing baby is to protect yourself: Wear a properly positioned safety belt each and every time you're in a car or truck.

To avoid injuring yourself and your baby, though, the seat belt must be properly fastened. The lap belt should be secured below your belly, low and snug on your hipbones. Never wear the belt across or above your belly. During a crash, the sudden jolt from a belt in this position could cause the placenta to tear away from the uterus.

If possible, warm up the inside of your car before heading out in cold weather. That way you can take off heavy winter coats and sweaters, which can cause the seat belt to slide up on your belly.

Always use the shoulder belt, too, which should fit snugly between your breasts. If the shoulder belt cuts across your neck, reposition your seat or the belt so it fits better. Do not place the shoulder belt under your arm or behind your back.

Air bags offer additional protection, so make sure yours are turned on. Air bags do not, however, replace the need to always wear your seat belt. (In fact, an air bag can be dangerous if it opens and you're not securely buckled up.)

When you're driving, adjust the front seat so it's as far away as possible from the steering wheel and dashboard while still allowing you to reach the pedals comfortably.

By the way, if you're in a car accident — even a minor one and you feel just fine — you should see your healthcare provider without delay so she can make sure that both you and your baby are unharmed.

Very dangerous business indeed, i wouldn't even suggest keeping her in the back.

You should definitely get a comfortable seat belt adjuster ( http://www.ebay.com/...=item20c00f7f0f)

or a maternity seat belt positioner which would cost a bit more but is much more safer (http://www.ebay.com/...=item1c21c5f887) (http://www.ebay.com/...=item1e599ebbde)

Just gave an example you dont have to buy the exact thing, better safe than sorry :alc:
