Hi,

Please share your experiences with this product.

Thanks

I have used it to sort a friends car's engine pinging problem due to combustion chamber deposits. It did work. The concentration is pretty high, so you need to use as directed. Add this to a near empty tank while you are at the pump station and immediately fill up the tank to full (mind you the content of the can can be mixed with 70L of petrol). It must be full tank.

Why you have to do like this is 44k is pretty concentrated and also has higher specific gravity than petrol. So a good mix up is required. Then go for a nice long drive, while running at RPMs over 2000. Once your tank reached 2/3, refill again.

I do use this in my current vehicle, frequently to prevent combustion chamber build ups.

By the way as the company calls, this cleans the entire fuel system, not only the injectors. Visit their site and also there are some tests shown in youtube.

For injector and intake cleaning they have different products.

By the way, no marketing for BG here. There are other good products in the market too.

Thanks varunatech.

Where can I buy this around Colombo?

How much does it cost?

Laugh Gas Stations (I do buy from Orugodawatta). Pitstop, Auto Miraj...... is around Rs 1500, varies on the place you buy.

Please note, you must add it when you are refueling at a fuel station. Pour the can using a funnel, and add Petrol on top of it until full tank.

Please note, the BG44K is highly flammable, do not keep in hot places (inside your car in hot sun), this is high evaporation and do not inhale.

And drive away some long distance for the first 100km, to make sure it get nicely applied on your entire fuel system.

'MAS',

I personly feel doing a ultra sonic cleaning, is better than fuel injector cleaners added to your fuel system.

Sylvi wijesinghe.

Sylvi is correct, from the perspective of injector cleaning.

Yes the best method is ultrasonic cleaning from a professional outfit. That will make sure your injectors are clean near 100% or 100%.

But there are other areas to be cleaned from the fuel pump to the engine chambers. For those a product like BG44K will help.

What I have done for my vehicle is, run BG44K once to make sure the system is clean, then did a Ultrasonic cleaning. After that I do add this to fuel, once in a while.

The addition of BG44K in tank has been a practice in US Auto shops as a routine maintenance procedure. Hope this helps.

Thanks guys. This is what I plan to do also.

1. Run a fuel system cleaner

2. Ultrasonic injector cleaning

Also consider cleaning the Air intake system from the Air filter, Air Flow sensor, throttle body and intake manifold. In a normal tuneup all these are done.

But I found that the interior of the intake manifold and intake valves are better cleaned when used a product like BG Air Intake system cleaner. This is a liquid can, but you need special apparatus and a trained technician to do it. This apparatus will spray the can content right into the throttle body, while the engine is running. This will clean the total intake system (yes still you need to clean the Air Filter, air flow sensor).

After doing all above you intake system is also clean.

Then check the state of the spark plugs.

There is another part to be cleaned, which is the breather hole of the Gas tank, which provides air in a controlled manner when the fuel is consumed. Usually this is neglected and usually it is clean. But not many consider this.

When I find time I will write and article, on how to DIY this cleaning. It is doable at home.

Can somebody elaborate on this? And good place do get it done as well.

Ultrasonic waves are used to clean electronic, electrical, delicate machinery, parts. Usually the component is put in a solvent and Ultrasonic waves are applied. The high frequency resonant with micro dirt/alien particles and make them loose and removed. This is very effective in cleaning hard coated dirt on delicate equipment.

The dirt or lacquer deposited on injectors can be cleaned very effectively.

The technician will remove the injectors with professional tools and care and will place them in a bath.

Then Ultraonic waves are applied for a given time. After that usually they fit the injectors in a fuel flow / pattern test machine and check the flow rate and fuel cloud patterns. This will give a good indication on the cleanliness and also if there are any more problems.

This method is very effective as the injector nozzle has extremely tiny holes for fuel spray, the clogged can be effectively cleaned, also as the injectors are delicate devices, they cannot be cleaned using manual methods.

I have done this only from one place (D**O). They have good equipment and experience technicians. But search in AL forum, you will find many more with such machines.
