Yeah I haven't heard about any conversion kits for the Vxi/Zxi version, although I'm sure you could pick up some pointers on Indian forums, and correct me if I'm wrong, the conversion + the car would cost more than a Swift Sport altogether? (that car is around 3.2-35mn)

Like terra said, I think my own car has more cosmetics than performance, lowered chassis and sports suspension + modified ECU (although I'm yet to find out exactly what) but provides a decent pull for the 1.3 engine.

Hard to get your hands on a Glanza or Starlet GT? I tried, but failed, before getting the Swift :)

My suggestion.. drop in a ZL-VE engine.. (SVT) it'll get you 130 bhp. Tried and tested. You can squeeze out more with a customs exhaust and a intake. Well within your budget, and you get to keep the car. Fuel economy will be bout 7-8 km/l and depends on how you drive.

How about a Primera P12 with the SR20VE? 200bhp and a 6 speed manual. :)

Yes, that was one of my first option, Nissan pulser SR16VE or 20VE 4 door. but those are difficult to be found. and i have no idea about the fuel consumption. if i am right i think swift sports do 9-10kmpl in city.

I like really like this idea, i know that you have done this. could you please tell me about the cost and how it can be initiated.

that's the HP12 innit. even the cvt box tp12 is pretty good in terms of it's category. Lot of car for the price too.

It wont return the fuel figures OP seeks though!

It's such a shame when people want performance AND fuel efficiency too...

Yes, it does over 10kmpl and thats with a heavy foot, I saved soo much on fuel while using it.

I think 115bhp on a very light car, and will get you form 0 to 100 much faster than any other car u have mentioned. Can easily move in traffic due to its size and very nippy.

You can get one for lower than a 1.3 Swift as our local market has something against 2 door cars. Also u get a relatively newer car (2004) compared to a Premera.

If you drive the car on weekends and bus it on weekdays... that'll make it fuel efficient for sure. :)

Mine came with the ZL-DE engine (1500ccc) and shares the same block as the ZL-VE which made the upgrade easier. I had to change everything except the block. (Sump, exhaust 4-2-1, entire intake, valves and wire harness etc) Cost me around 150k and took 24 Hrs of work.

Mine is a 1598 cc, it is a YOM:2000 323 manual model, do you have any idea about the engine that this car has (is it ZM-DE)?. then again based on the engine that my car has, would it be possible to start the project with the same effort that you have made. highly appreciate your comments.

I have ridden in the Blue sedan VZR. I loved it to bits. I really miss high revving machines.

+1 Chooti Putha

But still if you want to continue, I'd recommend that you start with the minor modifications first and then move towards turbocharging just like what I've done on a Jap Swift. Im already done with the minor modifications such as a FFE Exhaust+Custom 4-2-1 Headers, Excedy Clutch, Iridium Sparks (NGK), a front strut bar, Koni FSD Suspension and Im currently working on the weight reduction on my own since expert knowledge is not that needed, and planning on a rear Disk Brake Conversion when my uncle comes back for his holidays. And Ive got plans for turbocharging but still working on the budget. I thought of contacting Sacha for the turbo.
