Outside Smoke Getting Inside Cabin

I've noticed that whenever i follow smoke belching vehicles, I tend to smell it inside my Mazda 3 (2007-08model) even if my windows are fully closed, aircon switched on and air circulation mode properly selected to recirculate internal air. C** M**T can't figure out the problem. Any other Mazda3 owners who have the same problem ?

Maybe the door/solenoid is stuck for the fresh/recirculate function. Can you hear any mechanical sounds when selecting either feature?

the recirculate door is not shutting properly. this is the only way outside air can come through. you can remove the unit and check or seal it manually. Take it to a local aircon guy. they have more options at times and costs nothing.

Thanks for all the feeback. Also, any Mazda3 owners, how regularly do you service your AC. C** M***T says no need to seperately service the AC and all required servicing is done at the scheduled maintenance done with them at every 5,000km.
