My car's engine underguard ( Sump guard ? ) was not present when I bought it. I didn't pay much attention at first, but thought of getting and fixing the same.

# Is it a DIY job ?

# Is it a costly item ?

# Does it get removed and fixed when servicing the car ?

Thanks in advance :)

One of my freinds lost his sump guard in his honda accord. He had went to the agents and they have asked something like 8k (cant remember exactly). Then he had found the part from some where for around 2k and had fixed it with the help of a mechanic. but I guess its a DIY job, all you need is some nuts and bolts. I've never seen guys at service stations removing this.
