what will be the price of fb 14 cv joints and engine mounts?

still the sound is in primitive stage, will it make any damage if I drive around 200Km....( need to wait till new year holidays passed... )

Well when i checked them few days back Thaiwan CV joints were cost around 2500/- each & Japanese around 15000/- for both. Mounts are starting from 2500/-.

if they are making sounds, it does mean they are already worn and needs replacement. If your gaiters are not torn and there is grease in the joint, you should be able to drive that distance without a problem. These joints are made of pretty hard steel and it wont give in that soon. Better be safe and keep the speeds down just in case anyways.

If you plan on holding on to the car, dont replace with cheap CV's.

If gaiters are good, joints are lubricated a good set of CV's will last a very long time. It pays to check the condition of your gaiters once a week so.

main reason for premature CV joint failure is damaged gaiters.

Check the prices from GS Auto Rajagiriya or Pachikawatta. Their prices are very reasonable.

How do you know the sound is from the primitive stage ? What sort of sound you are getting ?
