Hi All,

I’m planning to buy a car within next couple of months. This is going to be my first car and my knowledge on auto mobiles is very low. So I really appreciate any tips giving on this. Following is my check list,

1) My Budget is 15-16 Lac

2) Should be Auto Transmission

3) Must be economical (Both in fuel and maintenance)

4) Planning to use it 3-4 years and go for a better one

5) I don’t like Indian cars

6) Prefer an English number car (Not mandatory if conditions are good)

7) Prefer a sedan over hatchback (Not mandatory)

8) Manufactured year should newer than 1996 (at least)

9) Will have to use for both city and long distance drive

Please give me the options that I can go for. Further, to my knowledge I’m thinking Mazda Familiya might suit for my requirements. So if you know about Mazda Familiy, please give me a review about that car as well (Fuel, comfort, maintainability… etc.).

Thank You!

Well a FB14 will cover everything you need. But it's not that fuel efficient.

i think honda civic ek3 will be best suit your needs and do a search about mazda familia that topic have been discuss in depth. :)

IF you are worried very much about fuel economy go for a diesel car or a registered mini van such as a Suzuki Every

Nissan FB14, Honda Civic EK3, Toyota Corona Premio (though this will do a bit less on fuel)

You can go for a relatively new Hyundai elentra,

Or as you are in the hope of upgrading in some time maybe a toyota soluna, which is not a car of charachter but would run trouble free till you manage get that better thing into you'r drive way

You can definitely get a pre-facelift ek3 for that price but most of them wont be "english numbers", if you are lucky you might get one with a GA,GB plates

I think It is difficult to find an EK3 (auto transmission) with english number plates and newer than 1996 under 1.6 million nowadays.

You can go for a Toyota Soluna.
