Not only the Americans, but all the major markets including Europe, China, Japan.....

.... have similar fuel economy standards coming into effect over the next 15 years that force manufacturers to produce much more fuel efficient vehicles.

What this means for SL is that the cars being imported into the country in 10 years will be not just a little, but much more fuel efficient than they are now.

Yes Californikan not only Automobile manufacturing countries every automobile user in world wide is worried about the fuel costs today.

Please note that web page when try to log in informs page not found.

I want to add the following on the post.

One prediction is that world crude-oil supply field reserves will come to a end within thirty years

That is one reason researches in the world are researching for alternative fuels. E Vs also. Try to prolong natural gifts to mankind like Crude oil reserves. By developing alternatives.

S L research institutions like (<NERD> http://kulasinghe.com/nerd.htm) few decades ago did develop the few alternative methods for fuel but they never was popular due to high cost of producing those units and maintaining them. Most of them were based on developments in Western developed countries which were existing for long time.

The V8 engine is going to be a very rare item. Unless new fuel saving tech is found, down-sizing will be the name of the game. F1 is going V6 turbo and Ferrari is developing a road car engine too.
