Udaya Dissanayake

Question

Dear experts,

Im hoping to buy my first sedan car(Automatic transmission). & following are the options I got. Please help me with this :)

01.Toyota Corolla 110

02.Nissan Sunny N16

03.Nissan Sunny FB15

& though it isn't a sedan I think;

04.Nissn Wingroad, is a attractive car.

I found the interior f some of the N16's are really attractive :) Is there any problem with N16's? I really like that car. please supply me with information:) I'd like to know the fuel consumption & the market & problems of above mentioned cars:)

Thank you in advance for your valuable advices & taking your time :)

N16 - its not a bad car, does 9kmpl but does lack rear leg space alot. the 110 has slightly more space inside and does around 10kmpl

also u could go for

Maxda BG5P

Honda Civic EK3

Toyota Corona Premio

Toyota Carina

Mitsubishi Lancer CS2

About the 110,it's interior doesn't look that good compared to the N16 :o

You can find a G series AE110 for ur budget. im not sure about the year, but you could get the facelift version. and to be honest, you would get a bit less kmpl figures in the N16 in city driving

Yup, the interior of the 110 is a bit boring, but i don't find the interior of the N16 that impressive as well

If you are looking for a car for long term and hard use, i reccomend you to go for a MAZDA 323/Familia or Honda EK3/ES8 for your budget. Interior is also nice and hardy. You can also find the leather interior also.

Well i have used several cars and i have experiences that these are outstanding. Will recommend to anyone. i think more than the fuel, you should check the durability of car.

My advise is if you really wannted to stick with the cars you mentioned at the start, then go for the FB15. You can find almost same features as N16, but have got a better resale value. Appearance may depends on the person.

Meantime, if you are ok to go beyond those models, try on a Carina or a Premio (1997/1998). More comfortable & assume you are ok with the fuel consumption, since your selections are also not good on fuel(apart from 110)

Best of all is go for a Peugeot 406. You can definitely find a good car well below 2 mil for sure. Much more comfort/steady ride + the prestige as well. Fuel consumption will be fairly inlined with Sunny cars. :)

if you go for 406.

Select a brand new imported , 2.0L , manual gear one.

If electrical gizmos are fine, mechanicals most probably will be alright.ask for the maintenances history and most of those are still maintained by agents for some reason, probably owners don't care the cost . It's a great looking car if you can cope up with the fuel cost which comes around 7-9kmpl in city as i've heard.

Looks- need i say anything ?

Indeed chan5. 406 is a great car which still goes at an affordale price. On your fuel comment, I believe still it is ok since the topic starter has interested in SUNNY s which almost same as 406.
