hyndai
Brothers, i brought down a 2011 vitz from Japan and it has a double din player NSCN-W60. Seems like its a factory fitted set. The owners manual of the player is in Japanese and i don't understand a thing. However, there are some pics that show a rear view camera function there. that is essentially there must be a video input port in this player. I removed the player, but there are no labels at all. i am trying to install a rear view camera using the monitor of this player. so you guys have any experience with this player ? can you guys help me to identify the correct connection to connect a rear view camera to this unit ? here is a pic of the player http://cdn.mkimg.car...ct=1b952635e6bf thank you in advance. jdnet
It should be a yellow video input. Same as the yellow one in the A/V inputs on the back of your old tv set.
Fixzit
If you have a 4 pin connector like this at the back..you'll need an adapter cable to connect video.. http://www.google.co...,r:16,s:0,i:115 Edited October 16, 2012 by Fixzit
terrabytetango
Apart from the video in, the HU harness will also have a wire to detect reverse gear, so you'll have to figure out what that is as well. Google is your friend in this case and you can find a wealth of information.
Fixzit
This is just a guess..because I haven't worked on this particular model, Agree with terra about the reverse signal to the player to turn on video mode, because the socket seem to have 3 active pins, and the video only needs 2 to work, It could be as in one of the pins in that socket acts as the signal to player to turn on aux video mode. In that case you need to hook up your camera to a supply from your reverse light so that when you put in to reverse the cam will turn on sending a signal to the player to go into Video...(This is just a guess and I have seen players going into video mode as soon as they detect a video signal without a separate signal from reverse)
hyndai
Hi as Fixzit said, it had a special connector. its BC5 and took bought it from EBAY. it was not required to install a separate connection to detect reveres mode. once the reverse in engaged, this triggers the camera into on mode. and the resulting signal from camera automatically turns the set into rev cam mode. Thank you very much every one.
upulhad
this is NDCN player. refer below NDDN player pinouts.. both use same connector, see DIY process http://minkara.carview.co.jp/en/userid/1153277/car/1039274/1777836/note.aspx from my NDDN post FYI How to install reverse cam to nddnw57 JDM player ( toyota 2008 JDM models Vitz/yaris/etc) Pins 2 and 3 are closed together and cling to the screen wires. Pin 1 to the signal wire. The camera is powered by the rear reverse lamp. Closing the contacts 2 and 3, we will activate the video input .
