I am in the hunt for diesel bluebirds and I saw a couple of SU14's but each of them are quoted at very different price ranges. One of them asks for 19 and another for 16/50...could someody please tell me the right price range for this vehicle. Also can somebody tell me the difference between an Eprise and a non-Eprise (is that what you call it...correct me if i'm wrong) ? :/
On the other hand, what are the other diesel vehicles at the range of 1.5 - 1.7 which are similar to a bluebird?

thanks

Hi am not 100 % sure on this, i dont see any major diffarance between eprise, non eprise,le grand, SSS models. SSS models are coming with SSS front shell & Crystal head lamps. 1999-2000 models are on 1.9 million range these days.

1.5 to 1.7 range you can find

NISSAN SUNNY SB14

TOYOTA VISTA CV30

TOYOTA COROLLA CE100

TOYOTA CORONA CT190

The Mitsubishi Galant is the best one of this range.

But the Bluebird is also not bad.

The main difference will be if it was brought recondition or brand new.

The brand new ones with a YOM of 1999-2000 will ask around 1.9mill and you could bargain it down to you budget.

The reconditioned ones are of mainly yom 1997 around and will be asked around 1.6mill.

The brand new ones where brought for the 2000 era permit and they came in Eprise trim.

Recons came in normal Eprise Le-Grand and SSS model

There is almost nothing much between the trims although the sss came with a more sportier look but i think it was only available in pertol so don't be mistaken by cosmetic mods most of them have now.

The reconditioned ones had non Cristal rear light when they landed here, but by now almost all have been switched to Cristal

Brand new it was brought for the permit in 2000 for 1.6mill when the Corolla CE110 Cristal light fully loaded model was brought down brand new for 1.4million

Thanks alot for the quick replies guys...
I came across a bluebird 1999 bluebird for around 16/50...thought I'd negotiate and get that...but there are a few issues in it...
The RPM meter isn't working in it (not a major issue but i like to own a complete vehicle)...the owner says that its something related to the diesel pump being manual and if it's an auto, there wouldn't be an issue...I just like to know what it could be and the cost to repair/replace it....Any suggestions??

oh and he also mentioned that the bluebird comes with two timing belts. Is that true?? if so, will doing an engine overhaul be costly? Like the spares and all??

Thanks again!

Theres no SSS diesel Bluebird, but you can fix the cosmetic parts and the suspension to a diesel one.

CD20 engine costs around 200K, with manual gearbox it could go up to 225K but if you are lucky you can get them for around 180K.

and I guess diesel car parts are higher than the gasoline variant(correct me if im wrong)

Thanks for the replies guys... but unfortunately I was unable to get a good su14. Every vehicle had a major issue or was over priced...thanks again.
On the other hand, I've seen a Lancer CK2 and I have a question about it. I guess ill create a different thread for it.

Thanks
