overTuned
Hi guys, I'm thinking to have a new civic with the budget around 3.5 - 3.8 mil. Currently I'm using a VIRS which gives me 11-12 kmpl & normally burning 2 full tanks per month. previously I was thinking about FD3. But some people said that the hybrid battery isn't durable in FD3 & spares are bit costly than FD1/FD4. I feel that this might be true since some cars with YOM 2010 are in sale with new hybrid batteries. Then consider about FD4 since it's 1.6, but heard from AL forums that it's under powered & have less market value. So the last option is FD1 & i heard that the FD1 sports package is nice to drive . But Still I'm thinking twice since it's a heavy drinker & only giving 8.5 -9 km/l as I heard. What you guys recommend for me according to my usage?? FD1, FD4 or FD3.?? cheers !! YALA
Since you have all the factors figured into your decision there is no point asking someone else to recommend a car for you ideally you should do a ride on each check individual car for how well its looked after and then decide. You could alternatively ask any forum members who actually own/or has sufficient knowledge on any one of the models you have discussed as to whether they have come across the same concerns you had or any other to factor in to your buying decision. Look for an FD4 Manual, best of all worlds... FD1 Manual would be even more so but only 3 of those in the country as opposed to 5 or 6 FD4s
jaga
FD1 pros, 1. Good pick up and very good handling. 2 Good leg space and the boot area. Cons, 1. Fuel in city 8-9 km/Lt out station 10-12 KM/lt 2. Ground clearence is low. 3. Ride is bit bumpy on un even roads due to low profile tyres and hard shocks.
