Peugeot 504 Chassis No

Hi all,I would like some information with regard to the location of the chassis number of the peugeot 504.I want to buy one and restore to its original condition.I was looking for it in a car I took a look at but couldnt find it other than on the riverted metal plate which was located at the right hand side when you open up the hood.Is this the only place or is it engraved anywhere else?

its between the firewall and where the right side / driver side top mount (of the mcperson strut) is fixed. it should be engraved to the panel between this metal plate and the top mount
