Honda Civic Fd1 Humming Noise When Accelarating

ShanilJ

Question

Hi Guys,

I am noticing a humming noice when accelarating in my civic FD1. It comes when I put the gear to "D" and start to accelarate the car...

Something like a "hmmm" noise. What should be the reason for it? There is no vibration noticed though.

I am looking to buy a FD 1 and recently found a reasonable car,A 2006 brand new,1800 CC and pump assisted power steering.I hear theire is the steering rack problem as in the ES8 in the EPS model and what is the actual fuel consuption? I also heard that the parts are relatively expensive than the other models

Appreciate if a user can update me on this

Hey,

This does not have CVT. Gear oil has been changed at Stafford and used their oil.

Hi Jeramy,

In EPS model in time you have to replace the rack bushes, its not a problem its normal. (Thats how i know, ask an expert?). Well fuel in Colombo Traffic - 8-9 Outstation - 13-14.

Parts are bit expensive, but its a great ride.
