Kia Sportage 2007 Starting Issue

when I start my Kia Sportage (2007 Model) even the engine get started it keeps vibrate for few seconds and then only its allow to accelerate ..scanner says "Diesel Pump Relay" ,

Well does it not make sense to get the pump and relay checked out? Incidentally who did the scanning? Was it the agent or another garage, because the error codes do not always indicate specific issues with generic scanners so you need the manufacturers scanner to narrow it down to actual component. Most error codes are generic and means slightly different things with different manufacturers

Scanning was done buy a mechanic who's having a garage at Athurugiriya (specialized in KIA and HYUNDAI) he said that issue can be sorted by replacing a Vail (which I don't have any clue about ).. which currently out of stock with them .. I showed the same issue to company where they directly suggest to do a engine overhaul which was estimated as 4 lacks ,,I'm surprised coz they didn't even bother to scan the vehicle prior to give that sort of comment ..

Whats the mileage on the car? Doesn't sound like something that requires such drastic intervention. I think they are disorganised after the issue at their old workshop.

Did your mechanic mention fuel rail?
