Car Stops On Reverse Gear

My car is a Nissan N16 and recently came across this issue of when i put the car to "R" sometimes the RPM goes down and the car stops. Even on idle its like 550-600 RPMs..

No issues while running, Appreciate if someone could say whats the possible issue might be and whats the best thing to do?

Is it auto or manual?

When you shift to R and step on the pedal immediately, does it still stop?

Its an auto, when i step on the pedal it doesnt stop. just goes as normal. if i put to R n stay for a while sometimes it stops.

You also mentioned that the idle RPM is also going down. It may be nothing to do with the reverse gear. Get a tune up done first. Search for Dhammika Fernando's phone number in this forum and get it done from him.

Thanks Bro... got an tune up done from Mr. Dhammika Fernando and replaced the air filer as well and that sorted the issue.
