istowner
Hi all, Thinking of buying a Grand Vitara 2006 or 2007 model. I have searched through the forums but haven't been able to find good enough info on what i need. I'm looking at the 2000cc Petrol model not the 2700CC V6. Basically need to know. 1. Fuel consumption roughly in colombo city running 2. Is maintenance high in general. (Spare parts etc) 3. Any known issues in the 2006 or 2007 models to look out for. Thanks. Knight
Something I'd like to know as well from any Grand Vitara users
gunat
1. 5-6 km/l in the city, 8-10 on long runs 2. Parts are relatively expensive, if brand new from Agents 3. If maintained properly, nothing to be done: we have a '07, bought in '09 with 20k and now has 70k- we've only replaced the front suspension & tires thus far Good luck on your search.

Hi there, Thanks for the update. Is your model the v6 version or the standard 2000cc?
gunat
It's the 2L with AWD and Automatic. I hear that the newer permit vehicles (semi-option with 2WD) are a bit better on fuel. Edited March 26, 2015 by gunat
