Emission/engine Warning On

Two days ago my car (Alto) got emission/engine warning light on (yellow color).I draw further about 20 Kms and the warning lights are off (not showing) next day.

What steps I should follow now.Should I go for check up or what. Appreciate your opinions on this regards

If it didn't come back on, don't worry about it.

If it comes back and stays on, or comes back intermittently, get it scanned first and decide on the course of action.

does the emissions warning light you speak of look like a silencer with some lines on top?
