Kia Sportage (99) Vs Terios(99) Vs Vitara Jlx(2 Door)

Hello Everyone..

This is my second question regarding buying my first vehicle.

I have narrowed down some jeeps which I can afford.

• Kia Sportage
• Daihatsu Terios
• Vitara Jlx

I only travel 4kms to office ,no traffic.

But travels lot in weekends.

Mostly four peoples when traveling.

Fuel consumption is not my main concern.

But around 9/10 kmpl will be good.

Need reliable vehicle to travel with parents.

Since traveling lot of areas,

I need a car with good ground clearance.

4X4 is also great for little adventures. :-)

That's why I'm decide to go for a jeep.

Your help will be highly appreciate.

What is your budget? And stay away from the 1st generation Sportage, if that's what you are after.

I don't have any experience with Kia Sportage and Vitara..But I would say Daihatsu Terios is not a bad one at all to own.

1st Gen Sportage Diesel fitted with MAZDA R series engine, in my memory it is not a bad engine, not sure which 2000 engine they use for petrol model (Kia or Mitsubishi engine) body parts may hard to find but not a bad vehicle aye as you get a separate transfer case for 4WD.

I think the best option is a Vitara/ Escudo, as Terios is not that good on handling, 1.3 engine is bit under power so check any vitara with 1.6 engine.
