Car Shakes At Very Low Speed

Hungry_Minder

Question

Hi,

My Lancer CK2 has a problem that at very low speed (10-30) I can feel that left side front tire shaking. Not the right side one.I have all 4 new tires and brand new front shocks as well.
When I speed the car I cannot feel this shaking. When I drive in a rough road I can feel that left side is not smooth and right side is very smooth.

I have done a Wheel alignment also. But I am not sure alignment done correctly.

Any ideas?
Thanks

Is it a wobble or a grinding sensation? The grinding will mean you'll need to replace the hub racers (replacing both recommended). Also make sure the tire isn't over inflated. If it was a balancing issue, the vibrations would only get worse as you sped up.

Have you tried swapping the left tire with the right ? If its an issue with the tire, your right side would be doing the same after swapping. you should be able to narrow down the problem. if the left still shakes, then it might not be the tire and would probably be a wheel bearing or a Tie Rod end. It could also be lower arm bushes or Ball joints etc.
