Vehicle Prices Going Up One More Round After 15Th Of April

Vehicle duty would further go up by 4% after the Vat amendment scheduled at 15th of April. earlier VAT amendment scheduled to Start from 1st of April. But due to some concerns related to consumer price hike during the festival season government re-schedule the VAT change date into 15th of April.

In current duty structure 11% vat included in the import duty and Amendment would be 15% from the scheduled date.

After the VAT amendment Unregistered vehicles would be go up by Rs. 100,000 to Rs. 200,000.

Yesterday dollar value went beyond 150 mark and that effected price of vehicle imported into the country extensively. Dollar went from 146 to 150 within two weeks’ time due to government cannot cope up with increased demand for the dollar during the festival season while deteriorating dollar reserves.
