Buying A Single/double Cab - Advice Please

Question

Posted (edited)

Ok guys so I got an opportunity to rent out a Single cab or an Double cab to a known firm - (the problem is I don't have one. :speechless-smiley-004: read on )

The pay is 45k-50k (per month). The contract will be valid for 5 years. It will be used by one of my relatives working there.

So I'm thinking I should buy one and rent it out. My budget is limited though - about 15 lakhs.

Should I go for a B/N Indian one (Mahindra/TATA) or will I be able to find an unmolested Japanese one in this price range?

Need to decide ASAP - Mahindra sales rep adviced me to buy one before the VAT increase take place.

Your advice is highly appreciated! :sport-smiley-027:

Hi Joel,

Seems to be a good investment opportunity! For your budget the maximum what i think you would find is a Nissan,D 21/- (1994) (unless you go for a leasing). Indian..Well not my cup of tea.Its going to be a tough call brother. If you're not that keen of the resale value go for the indian.Just my two cents..Experts will be able to provide a better option for you.

Well if you think you will get 3Mil for the entire run. So that would be around twice your budget ...so even if its an Indian and you sell it off afterwards for lesser still it's served its purpose. Would be easier for you to get a new Indian than spend a while looking for a Jap in good nick plus while Indians are not as durable as Jap i guess it will hold up well enough to last 5 years
