there are a decent amount of info you should read up on before opting for this. some have ruined MAF sensors some with engine issues due to dust filtration. You need to maintain the filter using there oil for the filter etc to keep it working optimum. some removed these due to finer dust getting into the engine. i believe someone in the forum might be able to provide a more in depth info. if you are a regular driver suggest sticking to an OEM filter

Yes Muditha. I am also having a dough about the filtration. If it's giving 40% more air, their might be more dust crepe into the engine. However, according to the manufacture, they have designed their product to filter more dust than the paper filter. It's worth to read http://www.knfilters.com/filter_facts.htm for their explanation.

I used this filter in my EK3. I do not recommenced it for a daily runner as I had to clean the efi, butterfly ... often. The accelerator pedal gets a bit stuck, not smooth. Once the cleaning is done its ok. just my OP

i would advice you not to stick with manufacturers sayings and also to check other sites for independent information. I too thought Cone or the normal filter is okay with K&N brand but later heard from users that they encountered issues after this...so i do not want to screw up a good engine.
