I can't comment on the price difference...but I reckon buying it from an auction directly would be a little bit cheaper. Also, if you go with a proper agent you will have the luxury of picking and bidding (and hopefully winning) the vehicle you want. 

In GENERAL, the difference between van and wagon is that vans are intended for commercial/business use and wagon variants are intended for passenger use. As such, depending on the model, the wagon variant may have softer/comfier suspension, better seats and even different accessories, etc...

Since these are Kei vehicles for occupants of 5 or less I don't thikn any variant of it would require a heavy drivers' licence.
