Padding Material for Engine Cover

Hi,

The padding material of engine cover of my vehicle stated to deteriorate. I am referring to plastic cover that comes for the top of the engine (see the pic below). It makes whitish powder all over the engine bay. 

Do you guys know any padding material that I can purchase, I was thinking something like aluminium foil!!!!

Pls upload a pic, is the cover turning into white powder?
