Kurunegala Road Races On The 29th/30th Of July

The Wayamba Road Races are going to be held in Kurunagala town on 29th and 30th of July.

Entries available at the MRA office on Havelock Road. Entries closing date 21'st July.

This is going to be a great event, guys, and all of y'all should come.

The course itself is brilliant, a true street circuit around Kurunegala Town and if you get a good vantage point, it'll be very interesting. Come early, because its going to get crowded fast.

Nishan Weerasuriya has got a brand spanking NEW EVO 9 GT, also janaka is ordering a New Evo 9 as well,

Also new contender Avantha is looking for Gr N Car to enter in the future events. its nice to see so many people are entering these events. thumps up for all the super car drives for giving the specatators some good action.

By The way does any one have any idea of what time the races are starting.

i thnk he run only hil clmbs.so it wil b only twice year durng n/e season.if so we wil c it mo on road than on traks. also i herd it re-con n not brand new.wud sum1 or velocity knw this???

Yes malcom you are right. Its not a brand new evo9. This car manufactured in 2005 as what i heard.

Hope velocity will update more descreptive details of this car very soon.

peri, this event will be hot. but i dont think super cars would have a problem cos most of the new cars run on avgas. i know these drivers do keep a buffer stock with them.

so i am sure the fans will not miss any action,

i myself have enough fuel to go to kurunegala and return,

hello everyone, I went for watching the Timing of KG races

Its all happening at Kurunegala. Today there were test runs and timing for tomorrow's race.

We got Dinesh Deharagagoda and other new EVO (i cant remember guys name), Jeya's new BMW M3, Dilantha with Celica, some other Evos, Civic T R's, normal CIVICs, some old Fords, some Mini's, Nissan March's and etc.

So its gonna be a great race.

Track is almost square,( about four left turns & four straits)

BTW, when i wanted to get home we had done about 4or 5 laps around the city to get away to our road.

Traffic arrangements are awfull (today), if you're coming better park your vehical away from Track.

But since tomorrow is Sunday Traffic should be low and i hope Police will try to improve the situ..

Anyway i think all who can must come here. Today was also crowded with people to watch races.

Kurunegala People are having this experience afterabout a dacade, as some time back there were this kind of street races specially bikes.

But enthusiasm is still high

Heard that Tissamaharama races will also happen near future.

Hope These races will happen every year.
