Second hand buying

Please advice me to buy a second hand / recondition car considering followings

Budget : 3.5 to 4.0 Mn

Usage : long distance travelling (100km at once)

Fuel efficiency & secondhand market need to be considered .

Pls advice ???

sedan/hatch/wagon? 

if your only requirement is long distance travel don't worry too much about fuel efficiency cos most cars do good on fuel when travelling outstation/expressways.

What types of roads will you be traveling, will you be caring passengers/ luggage.

Do you like driving, does your car need to look nice.

Sedan prefered . Hatch back also ok. Not interested in wagons. Earlier had a vios. Did 15 Km per L. Looking for a better one. Heard hybrids ok. But no idea about second hand market.

From colombo to east via Kandy. & with in the east Province. Most of time without passengers . But have to travel with laggages once  or twice a month. 

I prefer driving expect a good looking car. Sedan prefered.
