Prami
Any Idea on Mazda Familia (BHALP), 1500cc manual It does around: 8 - 9 KM/L - City Limits 11 - 12 KM/L - Outstations Is this the standard figures in this model or can I increase ? L board
My Nissan D22 double cab manual with 3.2L diesel angine. It does 8-8.5 in city and 11+ outstations. I believe that is good enough for a 3.2L engine. I heard the 2.8L Toyota 3L engine does less.

By the way guys, Is this normal for a starlet reflect, I have heard some ppl bragging about 12kml in colombo!

Rukster
From my personal experience, it all depends on how well the car has been maintained and individual driving styles. Have two compact euros with different engine displacements (1.6 vs. 2.5). Both have different fuel economy levels depending on the traffic situations, the luggage carried in the car, number of start-stops, etc. The smaller engine returns good economy (10+) in the city and the larger 2.5 is not too far behind returns around 7.5-8+ depending on time of day and day itself. Outstation the 2.5 is much better on fuel due to limited starts-stops and steady throttle. Again just my personal experience. I was just doing around 80 and didnt even go above 3500rpm ( I think turbo ons at 3700 ) Met Nigel at Hikkaduwa and that was it. It only took 15 min for us to go to matara and most of the time hitting 180. He was in his Type R. My Fuel meter went from FULL to Middle just for that 55 - 60km. You know nigs right. I just cannot drive the way he does. He is a very confident driver and takes bends at around 180 flat out. We both almost got shot by a Ministirial Motorcade when we mistakenly overtook them. ( They just didnt want to accept that we were fast - get back a**holes or die ) LOL. so we gave them the way... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mazda RS does really well if you do not do hit the VVT zone. Its done 80000kms well you know, if you loose wieght on your car, it becomes more economical this is a very effective way. every ounce count. so my advice is to jump out of the car after a few KM. it will give you another 1kmpl also try removing some unwanted stuff. like seats, carpets, wife's, mother in law's. i heard its very effective. Did you try pushing it on traffic jams? give it a try honestly. its disgusting how people are willing to spend millions on a car to show others "look at me, i have a big car im so sucessfull" and worry and cry over fuel efficiency. u don't buy a heavy car like a allion or a premio for it to be economical. u should have stick with a corolla or a smaller car
