Ishara Galagoda
Hi guys, Please suggest me a good place for a Mitsubishi ck2 converaion and for bodykit for a reasonable price. Also let me know whether do we need to update the book when we do a conversion and if yes how to do it? Im totally new to this field. Where is yhe shop of Asanka Galagoda (auto vision) and is it good?
AVANTE
Body kits don't need the book to be updated. But they do change the width/length slightly (negligeable amount if it's a genuine Evo kit). Changing the engine or increasing the cc you will have to update. Have to take a receipt from the shop you bought the engine and take the book to the RMV, they will update the engine number. But if it's not the same model engine and you are putting a bigger engine with different cc, then you have to get prior approval from the RMV (someone correct me if I'm wrong) and have to take it to the werahera for the weigh-in process. You can legally increase the engine capacity to a maximum of 500cc more than the original capacity. But now the rules might have changed I think, so do check with the RMV. But I hope you don't plan to rice the car. Do keep it original and mint with a few subtle modifications to make it stand out. Lots of CKs already have the Evo kit done on them and most of them look awful due to bad workmanship and taste.
