What Is This Country Coming To?

There must be something wrong in somewhere, if a 1994 Nissan Van

http://www.autolanka.com/ad.asp?ID=1540 is asking for

4 lakhs more than a BMW E 34 of the same year http://www.autolanka.com/ad.asp?ID=1541

And the BMW is asking for 1.5 mil. Just a bit more than the Suzuki Swift on offer, for 1.4. Or is it some kind of a joke?

i wonder what will it take to reverse this trend...

Remove all the taxes that came during the last 2-3 years. Think about the car market at that time. A budget of 1 mil then meant you could go for an unregistered, 'japanese' vehicle. The Corolla A110 was going for around 800k.

Today, if you think about it, the SL government is making more money from taxes than the actual car makers... :action-smiley-060:

Do you think it’s fair to comment on a vehicle which is on the AL classifieds? I don’t think nobody wants any body to condemn their vehicle, especially when it’s on sale.

Fair enough, i hav edited it bt its also unfair to try n sell a vehicle witout highlightin the shortcomings. nevermind the body work, atleast da suspension

eh? i just edited it...

look at it this way pandith... 5 out of 10 cars in newspaper classifieds maybe in horrible condition but they still claim the vehicle is top-notch... whoever's interested will see it for themselves...

thanks

Forget about tax. That nissan van would fetch a higher price than the BMW ,not only in SL but in many markets around the world. There is always a bigger demand for a diesel 7 seater than an 12yrs old 520.

I doubt it went to 2 Mil, I called the fellow the week before and he was asking only 1.8 Mil, i really doubt some one would offer him 200K more than the asking price!
