hi guys this about color problem

i like to buy a Apple Mac Book and which color u prefer. bcoz black one will be $250 more than the white one. what u guys say

please give me some recomondation.

i have to take the dicision end ot this weekend

just some weeks ago i too was looking under every rock to find the best laptop.. and i eneded up goign for a dell.... it was like 35,000 cheaper than a Mac with specs slightly less than mine.. With Dell's battery scene some time ago the market for Dell has kind of dropped a bit.. but the problem is no longer there, and still dell is trying to recover form bad publicity... thus the lo low prices.. as for colour it really depends on the user and usage.. if you are a delicate user with a clean working environment the white wont have any issues.. i have seen some Mac's that are no more than 3 months old and even the tiniest scratches show... so upto you man.. are u careful ?

yea u right man. im not too sure whether im careful. i may go for the black one then. its more in safe side. i dont need a yellow mac after couple of months.

I have two dells and just bought my first MAC. I must say mac computers are a generation ahead of PCs. The only down side is the avalability of software. Dell is much cheaper than Mac, but u do get what u pay for. If I were buying a PC based computer I would get the sony vaio. I really dont understand why the black color is $250 more than the white. I think the white is better because I have a black ipod video and that thing is a magnet for finger prints.

at last found some ppl who interested in macs but i know this is a automobile forum. anyways. my friend gotta white MacBook but outside cover is ok cant find any scratches but inside is became yellowish. look sad. thats y i thought of buying the black worth for xtra bucks. i dont like to install windows. stays as it is. i dont know y but i really liked it.

Well if you are really into the looks then obviously the black would rock.. MACs got a superior UI which ll make you fall in love with it.. never used one though.. way to costly for me to handle..

ya do video editing or any multimedia based stuff dude? Apples r meant for such stuff mostly..

the GUI design has been ripped off by most aftermaket dock n theme designers for Windows but mac r so much more faster n reliable

but the software shortage which thus far been the only snag with Appe will be sorted out no sooner the new Mac OS 11 "Leopard" comes out as its said to be able to run Windows apps!!!

but until then u can always get "Bootcamp" n run a Dual OS set up - windows is sooo much better n zippier when running on a Mac - fine irony eh! Apple makes Windows 'work'

thanks to intel. but why you want to install windows in a mac. but yea you can both init that will more fun play games and stuff.

actually the macbook pro will be the one for more performance to do animations and stuff because its use a better graphic card than the normal macbook. mine is a black macbook so its do the stuff that i need. anyway if anybody like laptops i will prefer DELL Latitude 620 and customize it.

if ya into anumations and stuff...the lowe end stuff in my view...the G5 quad is the best bet... Next to a Silicon Graphics machine...Octane and those sorts...

I recently downloaded CorelPainter IX for OSX...works like a charm

now all i need is a Wacom Intuos tablet.... Gotta find enough green for it

I also thought till the day my wife got me a PS2

but macs got a sense of flavour when it comes to variances of machines dude.. i ve read of windows lovers switching to macs by just using em for a few weeks.. and the software shortage is bein a issue o da past.. as the basic functionalities are now hardwired into the systems...

I am hoping to switch over to Linux Ubuntu for that matter.. i got a copy o a CD if ya r interested.. good stuff.. but i wanna learn the linux commands first.. being using PCs for over bloody 10 years n ve let down me guard o new stuf sniff..

Onto da topic.. as ripper says mac s are SUPERB multimedia machines for graphics designing and animation.. most of the CGI animations ya see today are created via Macs.. fascinating stuff.. but PCs rule when it comes to Games! hehe..

...PC's have é edge over MAC in mkts like ours purely cuz of é software factor n maybe in a small measure é price...

but a PC cant quite "Rule" in terms of games without being able to run Grandturismo & Halo!!!!

& FOSS maybe é trend of é future but conservative buyers in this region may be weary of trying somethin "free" givin é revolutionary idea they use for propogation...

crysis is the new game. after FarCry. i think this using directX 10 (am i right???) back to MAC's i love my mac maybe bcoz i didnt use a mac before. its got some cool softwares. bit of search on the internet you find softwares. i do bit of a animation stuff mostly using Flash and photoshop.

its RPG. u have to shoot. u can modify your weapon lots of stuff init. didnt read it all. so u into racing games?

i still didnt had time to play carbon. most of my friends who played it says that its easier than the previous game.

me very old fashioned (& my computer is a bit old) so into old games - like Command n Conqure Red Alert2 yeah racing games r defa & HALO

carbon didnt immpress me much - played on a PS n not career mode but overall it was fairly ordinary interms of game play

hmm command and conqure yup i can remember that game and i had this game tiberian sun. and i bought it for RS:750 4-5 years back in the computer exhibition at exhibition convention centre. now every thing goes cheap.

Give everything time and the PC would def be able to emulate PS2 and with Wii games.. There is Halo.. just version 1 though lol..

eh.. FOSS? Ubuntu s quite ground breaking as it has a very pretty understandable GUI which most of the other Linux distros are having a time with.. there ve been this article where dis dudes father wanted Vista installed and this dude installed Ubuntu.. his dad literally thought its Vista lmao..

Gameplay via PCs could be revolutionary if ya r willing to shave a bit of cash from ya wallet.. a good graphx card with probably bout 2 GB RAM of good speed etc. would make the game so smooth that it would immerse you in that world..

Crysis is the nexgen first person shooter developed by the team that developed far cry.. it is supposedly supposed to have real life physics alonng with fully desctructible environments which play along according to the laws of real physics.. in the sense.. if ya see an enemy beneath a small hut or something.. shooting the pillars of the hut would def bring it down on the enemy.. Half Life 2 was one of the pioneers at environment physics... + it has mind blowing graphx if ya ve got a mind blowing graphx card.. HDR lighting and all the bells and whistles to totally awe ya..

Havent used a mac stil.. or for that matter Linux.. from what it is worth.. the trend is shifting to Linux..

C&C eh? I hate RPG.. cant sit around planning a attack.. i d rather be in it lol.. as more carbon.. most wanted gives a much better gameplay i hear..

you guys are right on the money... NFS carbon is way way easier than MW... Beating rivals in races is a cake walk but getting the fu**ing cops outta ya tail is a nightmare.

Well.. if ya are interested in one of the most horrifying thrilling game. welcome to FEAR (First Encounter Assault Recon).. this one takes the hat off dude.. n i recommend ya get this shit first.. Doom 3 comes next and Farcry is quite good too.. real good to tel da truth.. Ya could probably try Promedia which is along Greenpath.. ya ve gotta go a bit inside the plc and the place is there.. cant remember da exact address though.. but i know the location..

yup i agree FEAR is damn good. but unfortunately i dont like horror stuff but i still play that game. these days lot of games no time. and also i like something like reality stuff rather killing mutants. ex call of duty, BF2, Medal of hnour and MAxpayne.
