A lot of people including myself do use autolanka advertising (I've personally advertised three vehicles there so far with positive results).

At the same time occationally forum members ask each other questions on specific products and informally pass on contact data on pricing etc. This is not an attempt to circumvent autolanka's classified but just ordinary forum members helping each other.

For example, in this case, someone is requesting info on a specific car.

What I would like to suggest is: allow people the opportunity to reply specific requests like this with answers, as they are not trying to make a profit or something, just trying to help someone out...

I'm not trying to criticize you or anyone. As this is your site you are obviously free to act as you choose however I hope you will consider my suggestions... :-)

Sorry I did not know that. Well he knows about AL so it's upto him if he wants to advertise.

Looks like it mate . Won't my contact details be blocked as well? Romesh is a bit of an expert on the E30 that's why I wanted you to talk to him.

Anyway I owned an E30 316i a long time back. You have to look for maintainence records.

And the car should have been maintained by a specialist. Timing belts need to be changed every 30k miles. Radiator leaks means you have to replace. Lots of cars are now tatty so take a long time in finding the best you can. And there still are a few good ones around.

If you can find a 320i which are quite rare go for that. The 316i is a bit under powered. But they are still nice to drive.
