This is about the camera I've mentioned on "Negombo Meeting today." If anyone knows a place you can get sony digicams checked/repaired pls let me know. A friend of mine dropped mine on hard concrete some months back(lens was open) and amazingly its still working fine, even though its got small scars on ALL four sides, plus a scratch on the LCD. But I feel the lens is slightly shaky, and it appears the pictures blur much more easily than before. Quality still seems the same so I guess it might be something shaken up inside. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Morgoth well ironically we had a problem with ours as well...it was a silly battery problem but my boss actually took it back to the store he bought it from in dubai on a recent business trip...best bet would be to send urs to the vendor if u can...i don't trust anyone in SL with lenses...

Friend of mine took his sony to a place, but he wasn't very satis with the quotation. Almost as much as a new cam therefore won't mention the place. Dude is also of the opinion that Sony's are somewhat fragile. I offloaded my P72 recently (another product from madmaxes second hand shop), it had a couple of hiccups but it held together.

Seidles can't check it? They are the agents, right?

Letter to bill gates from punjab

We have bought a computer for

our home and we found problems, which I want to bring to your notice.

After connecting to internet we planned to open e-mail account and whenever we fill the form in Hotmail in the password column, only ***** appears, but in the rest of the fields whatever we typed appears, but we face this problem only in password field. We checked with hardware vendor Santa Singh and he said that there is no problem in keyboard. Because of this we open the e-mail account with password *****. I request you to check this as we ourselves do not know what the password is.

There is a button 'start' but there is no stop button. Why you have START button after computer is started anyway? You should put a STOP button.

We find there is 'Run' in the menu. After clicking run it shows box asking where to run. We entered Sonapur, because we have relatives there who can catch computer until we come. But the computer replied "Not found"! I think you must update it with map of Punjab. Otherwise this RUN command is no use.

One doubt is that any 're-scooter' available in system? As I find only 're-cycle', but I own a scooter at my home, so I cannot use the re-cycle function.

Also there is 'Find' button but it is not working properly. My wife lost the door key and we tried a lot for tracing the key with this 'find', but unable to trace. Is it a bug??

Also I think the computer is very lazy. If nobody plays with it for five minutes, screen goes blank and shows small windows logo floating on black screen. Santa Singh (the vendor) said don't touch anything, and to restart and see. It worked, but every time screen goes blank I have to switch the power on and off, which is taking long time to start. Computer also forgets what it was doing before it went blank. I think this is a serious backward step for your product. Please make computers more smarter and active in future.

Ya I'll check with Siedles though I don't know if theyre very qualified with cameras. A friend took a videocam recently and the quotation came to 80k, though the cam was purcashed for 50k just a year before.

As for fragility, I'm not interested in finding out more Let's just say my cam took a 4 foot drop to hard concrete, while the lens was open, resulting in the battery flying out and scratches on all four sides including the viewfinder:( If it could hold together and still work good through that, I think its pretty strong Only thing, it's probably lost a few megapixels in the process If it doesn't work out I'll prolly check with some place in usa and see what they can do.

What is up with all these weenies using GT-R stickers? Since Ash started it (don't apply the tag to urself Ash) its spreading like an epidemic!

Couple of days ago I saw a swift with stickers along the leading edge of the door. Along with the "mandatory" greddy, HKS, Blitz etc... there was a GT-R sticker on the top! Thats not even the right place for it! I mean, really...

Then this morning, a 4 door Starlet with a beat barrel went by. This guy has stuck a GT-R sticker just under the starlet sticker on the hatch! Oh ha ha! Starlet GT-R Bloody idiots!!
