madmax
GTAm, if the agents decided to bring down the Fiat 500 here what do you think the price will be? Coz with over tax structure cheap small cars are no longer cheap when they land here. I remeber Di*o getting down a Smart down and the cost was over 3 Mil, and that was even before the crazy tax hikes..

Madmax I'm planning to phone and inquire today, but you know these guys tend to exaggerate a bit. I reckon it will be around 3m, judging by the European prices. i.e. the in between the Panda and Grande Punto. Another things this agent does is over specify the car and price them out of reach. For example the G Punto has cruise control and very upmarket stereo that might not be appreciated by everyone. 15" Alloys, rear spoiler etc. All this adds to the duty. So I hope they use their heads a bit with this one.

maithri
Hi Guys, I saw this car the 500(new) one a few months ago at my local dealer. They looked so close to the original iconic 500 that I remember which my uncle owned. I think Fiat has done a truly wonderful job of bringing the past into the future. I wish I had the resources to indulge myself, the new 500 I feel is closer to the original than the new Mini is to it's iconic original or even the Beetle which came very close! Maithri yep i agree, the new 500 is the best example for a good follow up to it's legendary predecessor. for me the worst was the mustang which came before the latest one...such a let down
