Mr Nigel perera Recomend Apexi Filter, and I have seen, Skylines, Evos & Sti's with the Apexi Filters In SL, and some with HKS filters too, but never seen cars with K&N Filters, and Most Modified Hondas got Fake Filters

bro any idea where you can get the Apexi filters? and how much?

Funny you should have not seen cars that have genuine K&N filters.. then again I guess most 'modified hondas' that have fake filters have nothing more than the fake filter to show.. and boy do the owners love opening that hood to show off that fake filter lol! :))))

What filter are you running on the Evo?

Genuine K&N filter user here.. recommend it anyday for a 1.5/6lt engine.

Looks like so many K&N Users here. Can you all tell us how like performance improvement you r getting using K&N. Horse Power or Fuel Economy or what else?

dude, everything is in Japanese !!!

hey all I experimented with my own designed Air Filter!!!!. My FIL imports AC accessories and he is a car freak as well. He designed a quad layer HEPA for my SR20DE. Trust me boys, I have a marked increase in pulling power and car is very responsive. It was just a matter of mixing different thicknesses and getting the measurements right so it fits snugly inside the stock air box. I ran it over the weekend and checked the complete inlet assembly and not a speck of dust. Just going to improve on the design and see how far I can go. The damn induction noise is music now.

From WIKI (This type of air filter can remove at least 99.97% of airborne particles 0.3 micrometres (µm) in diameter. Particles of this size are the most difficult to filter and thus the most penetrating particle size (MPPS). Particles that are larger or smaller are filtered with even higher efficiency. The original HEPA filter was designed in the 1940s and was used in the Manhattan Project to prevent the spread of airborne radioactive contaminants. It was commercialised in the 1950s, and the original term became a registered trademark and a generic term for highly efficient filters. Over the decades filters have evolved to satisfy the higher and higher demands for air quality in various high technology industries, such as aerospace, pharmaceutical processing, hospitals, healthcare, nuclear fuels, nuclear power, and electronic microcircuitry (computer chips).)

A HEPA (IPA: [ˈhɛpə]) filter is a type of air filter. "HEPA" is an acronym for "high efficiency particulate air filter" (as defined by the United States Department of Energy).[1] The DOE version of the acronym is actually incorrect. The original derivation of HEPA represented "High Efficiency Particulate Arresting" filter.

Hei, this is bit out the topic. I also use Surf Excel to wash the car and there things. Yaa it’s a magic one. But I don’t know effect of the long term use serf Excel. Will it effect to paint and plastic things badly?
I wouldn't recommend anything but a mild car wash soap dude. Anything stronger and you're gonna start getting directly into your paint and mess it up in the long run ... well, that also means you have to have a nice layer of was on it at all times. A good car wash with a soft wash mitt only takes off the dirt and grime and not the wax. Any other kind of soap is made to strip this kind of stuff and will expose your paint and expose it to all the elements.

My recommendation. Get the car washed, polished and then waxed and then use only a mild car was soap (same with the wheels) when you wash it and whenever you see that water doesn't bead off the surface of the car (as when you have a fresh coat of wax on it), it's time to re-wax.

Also, don't even try to wipe your car when its dusty (let it be until the next car wash), it'll ruin the paint ... you'll see the fine scratches when you look at it in the sunlight ... and never take it through the automatic car washes, all they do is scratch up the finish. I've learnt all this the hard way.
