miniace
Quote McLaren have been excluded from the 2007 constructors’ championship and fined US$100 million following Thursday’s FIA World Motor Sport Council (WMSC) hearing in Paris. Drivers Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton have not been penalized and are free to continue their fight for the drivers' title. The penalty follows McLaren’s admission that the team was in breach of the International Sporting Code through their possession of confidential technical data belonging to rivals Ferrari, who are now all but assured of the 2007 constructors’ title. McLaren boss Ron Dennis has expressed his frustration at the punishment handed out to his team on Thursday, maintaining that the Ferrari data found in the possession of suspended chief designer Mike Coughlan was never utilized by the team. I read an article where Flavrio Briatorie was saying if he just knew the design of the Ferrari fuel tank, suspension setup etc, he could have done wonders with the Renault cars simply because Ferrari was running Bridgestone all throughout. I think many more teams would be more competitive next year after they have gotten used to having different tyres !. Well Ferrari pulled something out of the bag in Belgium, maybe too late now for the drivers but the car seems to be doing very well now, The Don

Whats your comment about Alonso's dirty driving. Its really pity when Alonso turns them at his own team mate! MINIACE
Overdrive
Thats racing mate. When you are fighting for the championship thats how you race regardless if he's a team mate or not. Its a dog eat dog world!! plus he was the car in front so he has the right to defend his line. Lewis just tried to do some of his smart ass moves!! and alonso was not having it.. The Don
guess you guys might be aware of the latest news, McLaren are apparently trying to bring charges against Renault, for what exactly the article in the paper I read didn't say, Also the 50 million fine and being thrown out of the constructors championship is very light punishment to what happened, apparently I also read (these are Jean Todds comments) if McLaren appeals and if the appeals court also finds them guilty the punishment might be even more severe and most probably affect the drivers as well

MINIACE Think there is too much bad blood in the McLaren camp between the drivers now for them to be team mates, I mean never was the situation this bad between Montoya and Kimi for example though both were very competitive drivers, and if you look at the Ferrari camp though Kimi started behind Massa at the start now he has over taken his team mate, and you don't see this level of animosity between those two !! Hamilton might be a great guy outside the track (like Senna was) but on the track he is one ruthless character, and Alonso was quite deluded to think Hamilton was another Fisichella that was his mistake. They are both out for the same thing, and they should respect and understand fact and know there is no such thing of a second driver in Formula 1, especially when both drivers have the desire and the skill and the consistency to win every grand prix they participate in

Senna and Prost...... history repeating itself almost

I'm still backing Kimi for this year and hoping that McLaren gets its long overdue double-DNF. If not Kimi then LH.
