India Strikes Again

Hi guys,

Check out the new Indian Humvee-like "Light Specialist Vehicle".

http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums/showthread.php?t=118981

The sad thing is Sri Lanka stated vehicle manufacturing before India (Upali Fiat). But see our position and theirs.

It's sad to say that still our people and the Government are not giving enough support to Micro car. :action-smiley-060:

Think about this guys.

(I'm not working for Micro cars.... )

Thanks.

You seem to be a little outdated of Micro's recent achievements. The Micro SUVs are selling very well these days. There current production of about 30 vehicles a month is completly sold out. Also today I was at the Micro head office and overheard that the waiting list for the Rexton is two months as of know. Not to mention the number of permit vehicles they will be giving. They have plans to gradually increase the production capacities to 60 a month and then by end of the year to 100. So far about 200 orders have beem taken for the permits alone.

I'm not a follower of this government, but Micro has recieved considerable support from them as compared to the previous governments.

One trend that is developing recently is a lot of wealthy businessmen and ministers/MPs buying the Rexton as a must have in their fleet.

Micro also claim to have the best sales figures for diesel SUVs for 2007.

That's good news madmax - Really happy to hear it- Keep up the great work MICO - No if we can persuade our fools to buy/make buying easier on the small car they had at the exhibition rather than the crapy MAruti - Huray....

Actually the Trend is a littler higher in price than the Marutis. But when you consider the Rexton, there seems to be a big price advantage compared to the competition.

Also the Cherry QQ is now locally assembled and also the Indian Ambassador (saw an advertistement on the paper). Next to follow is the Jaguar X type. We seem to be heading in the right direction atleast.

According to sources at Micro, it was the international community (World bank specially) that was pressuring the previous government to prevent Micro from succeeding.

I agree with you. But still I don't see any increase in sales of the original micro car which has 60% local vaue addition, the micro privilage.
