Toyota Platz / Soluna : Need Advice

If someone here with knowledge of Toyota Platz and Toyota Soluna please do comment on following

Good as a family car ?

Are those models good in fuel efficiency?

Why they are not popular like other Toyotas ? because of outer look ?

Do they have good resale value ?

the soluna is a thailad version. the body work is not that good as per what I know. but the engine and transmission is what you'd find on the corolla (110).

the Platz is totally japaneese. its a decent average size car with good fuel economy. I know of a person using one and he is very happy with the car. its not very stable on the road, so you can't drive very fast in it.

I was in OMAN two years back and saw lots of them being used as TAXIs. the drivers seemed to love that car due to its fuel economy and overall reliability

i know someone who had a soluna(1.5L manual) for more than 5 years and he never complained about the car.it was a band new one given to him by the company that he worked for at that time.overall he was very satisfied with the car.fuel consumption wise this would do more than 10KMPL without any problem.interior space isnt too bad either but if you carry 3 passengers in the back they might find it a bit uncomfortable in long journeys.
