Exhaust gas recirculating unit

Havishka

Question

I have a 2010 Toyota Vitz with a 1KR-FE 3-cylinder engine. After observing oil burn, I had an engine overhaul done, replacing the bearings, piston rings, and the gaskets using engine overhaul kit. All parts were purchased from Toy#ta L#nka. After the engine overhaul, I performed a scan, and it now shows a P0403 error related to the EGR valve. According to my mechanic, everything in the engine has been cleaned. I am attaching my scan results.

what could be the issue? Toyota engineers asks another 15000LKR to check the issue.

Did you clear the error codes ? If so use it for sometime and then see if it comes back up again.

How long have you had the car for ? I ask because I know of cars where previous owners had removed bulbs from the meter panel so that the warning lights don't show up.
