Have a few cars so thought of building myself one:)

Or shove a meaty engine into one of my existing ones.

fuel is no biggie so even a V8 or V12 ( Yummy) would be nice....

Main plan is to try and build a sand rail type thingy.

i have Nissan E13 8 valve engine with 4 fowared gear box.

2ltr dohc prelude eng..(1993 model)..but without da gear box mate...cn gv u an auto box..

I doubt that is going to help much, I think Pradfred has something rather more powerful in mind.....

Hi Pradfred your project sounds very exciting to me, as someday I have promised myself to make my own car too !

Are you designing a tubular frame chasis? And what kind of suspension will you incorporate? What about the styling? Two door coupe surely? Front or mid engined?

If you're looking for a V8 I'd say a Mercedes V8 (from the old S class) would not be hard to find considering that many have been diesel converted. But it's not very revvy as would suit a sports car.
