SP Engineering's Supra-7 Project

The engine is polished like a show piece, but is slated to challenge the 1,000-hp mark when the tuning program is complete--stay tuned for the numbers. The Supra-7's 2JZ-GTE Supra engine has been internally fortified with JE forged pistons and Crower connecting rods. The valvetrain sports Ferrea hardware and is commanded by HKS 272 bumpsticks.

The Supra 7 flexes Blitz Technospeed aluminum and Yokohama AVS Sport rubber. Up front, 18x8.5 rims are joined by 235/ZR40-18 tires, while the rear is fitted with an 18x10.5 and 285/ZR35-18 combination.

The Supra 7's HKS Drag coil-overs were special ordered from Japan and attest to the car's mission as a dual street/strip and show/street proposition.

Rockin' the Cradle of Love: Advanced Design Fabrications constructed a custom cradle system to secure the Supra powerplant in the RX-7 engine room.

The low-slung front fascia, Blitz front-mount intercooler and HKS Drag coil-overs give the Supra 7 an aggressive stance. The carbon fiber headlight treatment is from C-West.

Boost is produced by a pair of HKS GT Series 3037S turbos with a .87 A/R on the hot side and a .60 A/R on the compressor side. A four-inch turbine wheel spools a 56T-trim compressor wheel

A custom rear treatment joins the RE Amemiya body armor to add distinction to the Mazda's sultry lines. The body mods were executed by 20/20 Autobody. The RX-7 runs a trick HKS Titanium exhaust system.
