Rpm Meter Not Working

Hi All

My car is a diesel Toyota Carina.

MY RPM meter is not working.when I start the vehicle the RPM meter shows an indication in the meter but then again the indicator goes to zero level.

there are some times where the RPM meter is working but its random

I checked the Injector Pump and they were not able to fix it

Experts, PLs help me

Hi I have the same problem in my P11. Still couldnt take it to the guy in Rajagiriya. His name is Rasika, 0714121142. The problem in mine is in the RPM sensor module at the back. Not a critical error. Might cost about 3500 for parts and labour.

Mike its possible that the sensor which detects the rpm in the engine is faulty

could you tell us the year of manufacture and model number pls
