Aha.. :)

318? may I ask? something like an M40 motor? These 'not so heavy' RWD`s always makes me wonder.

Ahhh... Might have seen it near the Creche one day. :) Didn't realize it was the same car.

Am I missing something here?

Connect the dots max. It belongs to someone at MIT. And one day is was parked in front of the creche. You used to park your car there too, remember?

Good work guys..AL spawns yet another club!

Wheres buggati's car?

BTW I guess thats the end MFOCers, since the president himself and others haven't a mazda or a ford anymore...Maybe Ripper can revive the club eh

Bugatti's car is on stilts, while her wheels are being painted and a Bilstein suspension fitted. Should be ready for the next meet..

Still hanging on to the Mazda, till Ripper takes over the club :D

Hi Guys,

Thought I'd post this in the best interest of all our valued members..

I just got back from Thailand, where did some shopping for my E36. I have come to the conclusion that the local places are ripping us off.. Posted below the unit prices of items I purchased.

Bilstein Front Shock - 12,500/- (made in Germany)

Bilstein Rear Shock - 6,500/-

Lemforder shock mount - 4,700/- (made in Germany)

Knecht Oil filter (M50/M52) - 1,050/- (made in Austria)

ZF Oil filer (5HP18) - 3,900/-

Mann Fuel filter - 1,900/- (made in Czech Republic)

And many more to list...

The point I wanna make here is.... It is cheaper to have someone go there and bring the stuff down if we can compile a list. I'm planning my next trip in April.

Think about it. :D

Jeeez, those prices are a steal. Can`t even get a generic oil filter for a Corolla for that sort of money here in Australia. :(

Anyways, would love to see all Toyo fans read this. :alc:

It's Thailand my friend... Singapore is a bit more expensive and the people there are arrogant. B)

Did you factor in your overheads? Tickets, accommodation, freight and taxes?

Ticket 30k on UL.. and if u gotta spouse at UL, then u pay next to nothing.. Mihin is cheaper, but if u love your life, I suggest you stay a way..

Accommodation can be from 1,500 LKR up... freight n taxes are not applicable unless one plans to bring stuff by the dozen, n attract the sleepy customs guy at the exit.

No other expenses unless Peri want's to take a Turkish bath while there..

Any babies you might have in case the wife wants to come along .... :P

Peri, you gotta set the rules straight.. this trip has to be business only.. else, it won't work. ;)

Ado, how was that Soapy massage you were raving about?

You get the same thing here at Angsana Spa, for twice the price..! :D

Thats something we have to work on a make it happen like the first meeting.... guys ?!? Plan and dates...

So when are we planning on having the BMW drive??

Posted

Why don't you chaps plan a drive up for FoxHill? The Ratnapura-Bandarawela run should be quite fun with the Ultimate Driving Machine :)

Our initial plan was to not go too far and keep it a bit closer to Colombo. Lets see what the other guys have to say... Would definitely be nice !!!
