hey guys i'm new to this site....there are a lot of cool stuff on it...

I need some help..

I'm going to buy my 1st car....i cant spend that much though...the budget is below 1.5 mil...i was thinking of buying a registered hyundai coupe...how much do you think it will cost? there was a coupe for registered coupe for about 1.4mil but it was an auto gear car and i'm looking for a manual one. its really hard to find a coupe coz its not that common...if you guys know someone who is selling his coupe can you let me know? [email protected]...

also do you think that its a good car...or should i go for a CK2, EK3 or an impreza...?

thanks in advance :

Hey Mate, any luck on your buy? I have come across a couple of Coupes in and around Colombo, but they weren't quite satisfactory since the cars were simply hacked. The pricing varied siginificantly too from 900k going upto 1.7mil! The 2.0lt version was automatic, and then came across the 1.6lt manual. Personally I feel its a good buy, admist all negative perceptions on Hyundais.

But given your budget I would have settled down for an Impreza, which I'm looking out for at the moment. Saw a couple around Dehiwala at the D***g auto care centre. Might go n check em out tomo.

debug auto is closed tomorrow.... and just to keep you informed, the cars that you saw there are all wrx or sti. you can call manish on 0777668424 for more info

Oh and is there a huge difference in the Impreza (1997) shell compared to the WRX?? Just wondering if I can make a stock Impreza look like a WRX

Go for an EK3 Vtec stage 3.Itz better than a Tuscani or Coupe

And also does any1 knw at Tuscani's fuel consumption

Yeah I've been thinkin about an EK3 but I'm not too familiar with Honda's.

i'm a lil confused on the types of EK3. This might be a stupid question. can this stock (below) EK3 be modded to look like a RS (below)?

EK3

EK3 RS

If an EK3 gives me better performance than a subaru impreza I'll surely go for it. (never driven a ek3 though)

Rs has a body kit including front lip, rear lip'spoiler, side skirts

It has Honda alloys+Strut brace and theres a differance in the suspension setup too

All these Mods should be done to an Ek3 to convert it to an Rs.So I think its Better Buying an Rs than Converting an EK3 to RS

Subaru Impreza has more power and performs better than a Rs.But it doesnt do much on petrol

I guess you can buy a decent imprezza for around 1 mil ( not english plates ) and do a full convirsion. ( this will cost about 4-5 lacks as per some of the more experianced members on the forum ) I asked this question earlier from them :) our Silent Killer will be able to shed some light on this.. Gihan where u at bro ?

I dont see the coupe as a very attractive car . but then again thats just how i feel.. Tuscuani onthe other hand looks good B) my vice precident used to have one then he moved on to a Xtrail due to lack of ground clearance.. personally i like to have a subaru ( i perfer engine mods over cosmetics ) happy shoping bro.. dont forget to add some pics to the forum once you buy your ride :)

I don’t think the Hyundai does well with fuel either :P

but anyway since its gonna be diva123's first car I would like to highlight couple of drawbacks on buying a Hyundai over a Impreza (or a Honda)

*You can't sell it whenever you want it (not much of a market in SL)

*Parts are not available much as the other makes

Unless you are planning to use this as your second car i would honestly not recomend this :action-smiley-060:

Thanks fuzzo, I saw a gun metal Wrx (GC plates) n a white not sure what that was.

the white one is also a wrx...

the impreza can be made. the biggest change is the front bonnet. if you can find a bonnet, then you are almost done. buffer and trunk spoiler and other stuff should be easily found locally.
