Westly
Hi Guy's Please provide your expert opinions what to check when buying a re-used car. In Sri Lanka no re used market is very high. I can give you one clue as a start , if you buying a Used car specially from a Car Sale please check the mileage and don’t keep much hopes on mileage. Because sales guys are now changing the mileages even in digital meters. Specially the sales guy’s in Hill Street Dehiwala after the Cargills to Maharagama side. I have experienced that and the does it for a every vehicle they sale. What else you recomend to chek ??? Thanks Westly Edited May 27, 2008 by Westly
Saturn
You could consider getting the agent to inspect the vehicle.. e.g. if buying a toyota, take it to toyota lanka or get a reputed garage to inspect it edit: donno if this option is available in SL.. can experts here advice? I'd say its worth to spend a few thousand and get a vehicle inspected before buying than spend thousands after repairing it..
