wonder why they dropped "skyline" though... My boss always makes fun of a guy in office with a V35 that "skyline" sounds like a name of an apartment complex

Probably Nissan wanted to market "NISSAN" in the western world with a kick as$ car and thought having another identity "skyline" was too much of excess baggage...
