Does anyone know how to test the seat belt locking mechanism properly?

Guys, please remember to put on seat belts whenever you drive. Few days back one of my relations had an accident in Colombo city limits and he should have walk out if he was wearing the belt. But unfortunately he was not. And now suffering from internal injuries occurred due to hitting his stomach against the steering. :(

i would guess the agents should be able to do a proper test...

I would sometime yank it hard to see if it locks :) :) not the best of tests but i guess it's better than nothing :)

Yeah thats the practical way of checking. Just jerk-pull the belt to see its locking the inertia reel.
